Government managing temples means giving free hand to the corrupt persons in its service to loot wealth of temples ! Hindus need to take note of bad condition of temples which have been taken over by the Government and force the BJP Government to hand over management of temples to devotees !
Pandharpur (Maharashtra) : Shri Vitthal – Rukmini Mandir Samiti has started the process of taking over 28 temples of ‘Parivar Deities’ since 2nd May.
These temples were taken over by Manager Vilas Mahajan and other employees under the directions of Mandir Samiti’s Chief Executive Officer, Shri. Shivaji Kadbane. (Recently, scam involving billions of rupees in managing Shri. Mahalakshmi Devasthan was exposed which is under control of the Government; There is every possibility of malpractices in managing even Shri. Vitthal – Rukmini Mandir and the above temples ! Devotees should, therefore, oppose such moves with all the strength. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
Last year, the Supreme Court had dismissed a petition filed by ‘Badave, Utpat’ and other people regularly serving in this temple, for their rights which ended all rights these Badaves, Utpats and others enjoyed all these years. After the Court’s verdict, Shri. Vitthal – Rukmini Mandir was fully taken over by the Government and is since managed by ‘Shri. Vitthal – Rukmini Devasthan Samiti’.
There are number of temples in other parts of the town known as ‘Parivar Devata’. The process of taking over these temples from Badaves has been started by Mandir Samiti and special priests and persons to serve in these temples have been appointed.
