Drive away porn –star Sunny Leone from this country ! – Sou. Alka Vhanmare
Pandharpur (Solapur) : ‘There is perversion of right to freedom of expression. Films, plays, short films, advertisements etc are all barraging lewdness in the name of such freedom. Small children are falling prey to lewdness. Stringent action is therefore, required to be taken so as to prevent downfall of future generation by putting curb on propagation of indecency and immorality; also, porn-star Sunny Leone, who is in no way associated with culture of this country, should be driven out; all her lewd websites should be immediately banned’, was the demand made by Sou. Alka Vhanmare of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations staged under the aegis of Rashtriya Hindu Andolan at Shivaji Chowk in Pandharpur on 10th May at 5.00 p.m. Bhagavatacharya V N Utpat also attended the demonstrations.
Dr. Shripad Pethkar did compeering of the program. Shri. Ganesh Lanke, Shriram Badawe, the President of Photographers’ Organization, Suarabh Thite of ‘Peshawa Yuva Manch’, Shri. Vinayak Mahadevkar, Kiran Dubey of ‘Parashuram Yuva Manch’, Sou. Ratnaprabha Patil, the President of ‘Sai-Ratna Multi-purpose Company’, Shri. Rajesh Sawant, Shri. Aniruddha Badave, Sou. Sucheta Naik of Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Vinod Rasal, Shri. Shashishekhar Patil, advocates Nilesh Sangolkar, Sandip Apsingekar, Hari Pise also took part in the demonstrations; besides lot of women.
400 devout Hindus signed the representation to be submitted to the Government. Delegation of HJS met regional officer, Shri. Sanjay Teli as a representative of the Government and submitted the representation to him. Shri. Pratap Singh Salunkhe of Shiva-pratishthan, Shri. Rohit Goyal, famous local businessman along with HJS members were present on the occasion. It has been stated in the representation that the Central Government should not try to take gold from temples; considering the importance of ‘Om’, the Government should not try to remove ‘Om’ from ‘Yoga’ practice for exhibiting its pseudo -secularism.
