Take action against Sunny Leone : demands HJS in a press conference

Panaji : Dr. Manoj Solanki, State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Goa demanded during a press conference held at Panaji on 15th May 2015 that case should be filed against actress Sunny Leone alias Karanjeet kaur Bohra for spreading obscenity and her website should be banned in India. The press conference was also attended by advocate Nagesh Takbhate, the joint Secretary of Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada and Sou. Shubha Sawant of Ranaragini Division of HJS. Dr. Solanki said, “Police have not taken any action against 3 complaints lodged so far in Goa against Sunny Leone.

Goa police should take immediate note of the complaints.” Advocate Takbhate said, “Under clause 202 of Indian Penal Code, spreading obscene material for monetary gains is an offence which is cognizable with provision of punishment of 2 years imprisonment. There are also few other clauses applicable to this offence. In case police do not take note of the complaint, an application under Section 154 (3) will be made to Superintendent of Police and further action will be taken.” Sou. Shubha Sawant said, “Women are totally against obscenity. Awareness is being created and they will be brought together on this issue. You will soon see its result.”

Other demands made during the Press Conference

  1. Sunny Leone’s website should be banned.

  2. She should not be allowed to come to India.

Questions asked by reporters skirting the main issue

Sunny Leone has this website for past few years; then why was the complaint lodged now ?

Dr. Solanki: Many people brought the issue to the notice of HJS. After understanding the matter, complaint was lodged immediately. At least now, such things should be stopped. (Why none of the reporters filed a case against Sunny Leone despite knowing about her lewd website ? Or why people’s movement was not staged through reporters ? Is the duty of reporters only to ask any kind of questions to the organizations which are trying to create awareness ? In fact, HJS staged movement as soon as it came to know about the issue which is its speciality ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

There are many websites; but why demand to ban only Sunny Leone’s website ?

Dr. Solanki : As per the available information, the viewership of this website, consists of 73% Indians. The website is seen by big section of youth, creating decline of moral values; therefore, we have lodged a complaint against her. HJS stand is all indecent websites should be banned. We have started with Sunny Leone.
