‘Learn Sanskrut language to protect Dharma’

Jyeshtha Krushna Panchami

Bangaluru: Shri. Venkatachalaiyya, the retired Chief Justice, while talking to Adv. Ramadas Kesarkar, Hon. Legal advisor of Sanatan Sanstha, Shri. Shivanand Prabhu, the spokesperson of HJS for Southern India and other members of HJS, said that one should learn ‘Sanskrut’ language to protect Hindu Dharma. The above members of HJS and Sanatan called on him recently, at his residence.

Shri. Shivanand Prabhu explained to him about the activities undertaken by HJS and requested him to express his views on the present condition as also on Nation and Dharma. Shri. Venkatachalaiyya said, “Hindus are mainly against Hindus. The chiefs of different Mutts are after acquiring wealth and property instead of guiding people. Some chiefs are even lending money to people rather than giving guidance on spiritual practice. I do not like such things.”

It is necessary to treat ‘Sanskrut’ as national language!

On the question asked by Shri. Prabhu that what can be done for spreading righteousness, he said, “Sanskrut should be given the status of national language. Due to lack of knowledge of Sanskrut, Hindus are deprived of the knowledge given in Vedas and other sacred scriptures leading to adverse effects. Dr. Ambedkar also tried to give national language status to Sanskrut; but the Congress leaders opposed it.

Shri. Vasant Kothari, settled in London, of Chetana Trust has arranged to teach Sanskrut to children by engaging retired teachers. Besides, he has also made arrangements to take retired teachers from India to England, to teach Sanskrut to Hindus settled in England at his cost. (Mission of Shri. Kothari to spread use of Sanskrut language is very commendable. It is a great relief for Hindus to know that there are people who still love the language and culture – Editor) This will help to spread use of Sanskrut as there are limitations on Vedik schools to teach the language to people.”

On teaching moral values to children, he said, moral values are not to be taught but examples should be set before children by our following them. I feel sorry that Hindus are not ready to learn Vedas and apply their teachings in daily life.” Adv. Ramdas Kesarkar told him that he was giving his whole time to the mission of protection of Nation and Dharma. He said that Sanatan Ashram has become his home now on which he said that everyone can not stay in ashram; but one can convert his home into ashram for spreading of ‘Dharma-karya’.
