Srinagar (J&K): The Jamaat-e-Islami today severely condemned the fomenting of communal hatred by extremist Hindu parties, who it said were tarnishing Kashmiri Muslims and misleading Indians by their propaganda campaign. (How Jamaat-e-Islami can say that Hindu Extremists maligning Kashmir? These riots are started by Muslims for land transfer to Hindu Temple and not by Hindus! Kashmiri Muslims are tranishing Hindu Pilgrims!)
The Jamaat spokesman, Zahid Ali, said that the bids by communal parties like the BJP, the VHP and their off-shoots to whip up communal passions in several places in the Jammu province were condemnable. (Then what about parties like Hurriyat & PDP? Jammu Ex-governor have said that PDP works ‘hands in glove’ with terrorists!)
Appealing to all Jammuites to maintain communal brotherhood and harmony at all costs, he said that religious amity and tolerance alone could defeat the inhuman designs of communal forces. (Mr. Zahid Ali should tell these things to Muslim terrorists!)
“No non-Muslim person or religious site in Kashmir was touched during the several-days-long agitation against the transfer of land to the Shrine Board, but they were given protection and non-Muslim brothers accorded brotherly treatment as a primary duty,” he said.
“The Amarnath yatra continued even during the large-scale public agitation, and the yatris were given hospitality at every place in keeping with the teachings of Islam,” he said.
“But despite this, the BJP, the Bajrang Dal, the RSS and other communal organizations have launched a massive propaganda campaign against Kashmiri Muslims to mislead the world in general and the people of India in particular,” he said. (Hindu organizations have launched campaign against Amarnath Land Transfer Issue and not against Kashmiri Muslims!)
“These parties are spewing venom against Kashmiri Muslims by threatening to stop supplies and block the Hajj pilgrimage,” he said, adding that Kashmiris had displayed self-control proving that the agitation was not against any religion, sect or region but only for the genuine rights of the Kashmiri people. (If this is so, then why Kashmiri Muslims started agitations against Amarnath Temple Land Transfer!)
“As soon as the right was restored, Kashmiris resumed their normal life without delay,” he said.
