‘There is a Shiva-linga under the tomb of Chishti in Ajmer !’

Haridwar : ‘Jyotish Peethadhishwar Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati informed advocate Harishankar Jain, a staunch Hindutva-vadi when he called on Shankaracharya at Haridwar, that there is Shiva-linga under the tomb of Chishti in Ajmer. Later, both spoke to reporters. Advocate Harishankar Jain has filed a petition in Supreme Court claiming that ‘Taj Mahal’ is a Shiva –temple and should be handed over to Hindus.

Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda said, “There was no dearth of land for building tombs or mosques when Mughals ruled over India; still they targeted Hindus’ temples and Kashi, Mathura, Somnath, Ajmer are few examples of it. There is ‘Shiva-linga’ under the tomb of Chishtie in Ajmer; so also under Taj Mahal at Agra. Every Monday, Hindus should pray for release of Taj Mahal.” Advocate Jain said, “Taj Mahal is a Shiva-Temple and not a tomb. Proof of its making could be found even today if its part is excavated. This temple existed 400 years before Shahjehan and was built under the rule of King Paramadhideva.”
