Hinduism specialists discuss relevance of Vedas

California (USA): Relevance of Vedic heritage in contemporary world was discussed when Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri, Spiritual Director of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship (SELF); and Rajan Zed, acclaimed Hindu leader; met at Carpinteria in California.
 
Other topics discussed were Sanskrit in modern society, mysticism, yoga traditions, Vedic culture, harmonious co-existence, service, rituals and their meaning, outlook on peace, etc.
 
Zed stressed that world has come to appreciate rich, diverse and long tradition of Hindu philosophy; and its interpretation of the nature of reality.
 
Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri is a monk of the Vedic tradition belonging to a Kriya Yoga lineage of meditation. Mission of SELF includes preservation and dissemination of spiritual heritage of ancient Vedic order, research of Sanskrit scriptures/texts/manuscripts, etc. Rajan Zed is president of Universal Society of Hinduism.
