‘Land is National property; not anyone’s individual property’

Shravan Shuddha Trayodashi

Jammu (J&K): I wonder why Shri. Omar Abdullah is opposing transfer of land to Sree Amarnath Shrine Board. This land belongs to the nation and is not a personal property of any individual. When Hindus will be making use of it only for 4 months during the pilgrimage, why should there be any objection? The above views were expressed by Sri Sri Ravishankar, the founder of ‘Art of Living’ during his talk with a private news channel.

He said further, “There is an effort to politicize the matter only for votes. The land matter involves one’s faith and nationalism. If someone tries to play politics, he will be destroyed. There is wrong propaganda about creation of Palestine if the land is donated. As a result, the issue is becoming serious. I am therefore, going to advise to find solution to the problem by holding discussions with local population and Hurriyat leaders.” Sri Sri Sri Ravishankar is presently touring Jammu.
