Shravan Krushna Chaturthi
Varukh (Maharashtra): Representatives elected by Hindus are trying to bring ban on observance of customs, rites, rituals and traditions of Hindus by passing ‘Anti-superstitions Act’. If this Act is passed, it will become difficult for Hindus to perform their rituals and customs. Therefore, Hindus must become vigilant and elect such persons who would allow them to carry on their religious functions and traditions. The above forthright views were expressed, in his address, by Samartha Sadguru (S.S.) Madhavnath Maharaj (Ambetkar) from Makhajan-Ambet in Sangameshawr taluka.
A gathering was organised with an intiative taken by S. S. Madhavnath Maharaj at Sree Vishwakarma temple in Panchalwadi, Makhjan. Maharaj said further that Hindus do not take interest in religious functions held at home and while away their time in chit-chatting, playing cards etc. During the processions taken out as part of some religious function or marriage ceremony, they dance in a very strange manner making weird gesticulations. In the pandals erected to celebrate Ganesha festival, they gamble and drink. Everyone must take initiative to prevent such malpractices. One must try to understand the scince behind every ritual.
Hindus must strongly back those who are working for protection of Dharma – Shirubhau Phanase
Shri. Shreedhar alias Shirubhau Phanase, the President of ‘Makhajan Panchkroshi Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’ said that the sorry state of Hindu Dharma is due to Hindus showing total disregard towards their Dharma. Rulers extend grant for ‘Haj’ pilgrimage but can not offer land to Amarnath Shrine Board for convenience of devotees. India is supposed to be a country where Hindus are in majority but Hindus have to fight against denigration of deities which is really unfortunate. Hindus must strongly support such organizations that are working for furtherance of Dharma.
‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes need to be held in every village to increase loyalty towards their Dharma – Vinay Panwalkar
Shri. Vinay Panwalkar of HJS said that even minor acts prescribed in Dharma are not observed by us. Instead of folding hands to greet a person as advocated in Hindu Dharma, we shake hands as followed in Christian Sect. Followers of other religions will never compromise on anything related to their religion but Hindus would be ready to even convert to gain something for personal benefit.
