The first ‘puja’ of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’ performed at Pandharpur for past 150 years, to be stopped

Anti-Hindu activities of Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Samiti go on even under BJP Government just like Congress. Hindus should raise their voice against it, in lawful manner and force the Government to hand over management of temples to devotees for bringing change in this situation !

Pandharpur (Maharashtra) : The first ‘Puja’ being performed by family members of Sardar Khajagiwale on the occasion of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’ for the past 150 years will be stopped from this year. The time used for this ‘puja’ will be utilized for increasing ‘darshan’ time for devotees. District Collector Tukaram Mundhe gave this information after meeting of Government officials. (‘Puja’ of Lord Vitthal being performed for past several years is important; but these anti-Hindu Dharma people do not understand its importance. Hindus should unite to take such people to task ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

1. Family of Sardar Khajagiwale was given the honour of performing first ‘puja’ right from the time of Peshavas; but since last year, all rights related to this temple have been taken over by the Government and the District Collector of Solapur, Tukaram Mundhe has taken a decision to stop this tradition.

2. The period of 40 minutes taken for the ‘puja’ will be now available to devotees for having ‘darshan’. (Deities’ wrath being drawn by such anti-Hindu Dharma people as also by Hindus not opposing them; who are giving more importance to ‘darshan’ than to performing of ‘puja’ ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. After performing this ‘puja’ at 12 in the midnight on the day of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the regular ‘puja’ and ‘mahapuja’ by the Government used to be performed.

Anti-Hindu District Collector Tukaram Mundhe of Solapur !

From 17th June, the regular rituals and ‘puja’ performed at Shri Vitthal –Rukmini Temple, Shri-kshetra Pandharpur, were stopped on the occasion of ‘Adhik Maas’ and devotees were allowed to have ‘darshan’ for all 24 hours. All Warkaris and Hindutvavadis opposed such decision; gave representations on 22nd and 24th June; staged agitation on 26th June and even observed ‘bandh’ to protest against the decision.

Later, Warkaris met the Guardian Minister Shri. Vijaykumar Gavit and insisted for re-starting ritualistic worship as way of ‘Dharmacharan’. An appeal was made by H.B.P. Shriramkrushna Maharaj Veer, the spokesperson of ‘Warkari Sampradaya Paeek Sangh’ to the Chief Minister to look into the matter after which Solapur’s District Collector and the President of ‘Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Samiti’, Tukaram Mundhe had to withdraw that decision of 24 hours- ‘darshan’ and had to re-start regular ritualistic worship.

The same Mundhe has now decided to stop old tradition of first ‘puja’, followed for past 150 years.’
