Goa: Vishwa Hindu Parishada (VHP) organised a ‘Jail Bharo’ agitation at Panaji and Madgaon in Goa in support of the fight on piece of land taken back by the State Government of J & K from Amarnath Shrine Board. There were only 40-50 persons participating in the agitation. After raising slogans for sometime, the participants got bored and started asking the police to arrest them; but police refused.
Finally, the demonstrators left as they were not arrested. Such ineffective agitations would not create pressure on the rulers, therefore, do not participate in agitations as if attending some rituals. But stage such agitations with full strength that the Government has to take notice. There is no point in ineffective agitations as nobody would pay any attention. If the strength of people is not enough in certain places, no need to hold demonstrations; but keep quiet!
RSS must use all its strength to make the agitation successful!
Amarnath shrine’s land is a matter of faith for Hindus all over the world. Although VHP has undertaken campaign against the issue, all Hindus forgetting their sects, caste and creed, organizations etc., should participate. In the agitations at Panaji, very few members of RSS participated in agitations. Why in agitations organized by VHP, members of RSS do not participate?
Organize agitations in such manner that people would develop faith!
During agitations at Madgaon, effigy of Congress was filled with crackers and it was later burnt. When the nature of the agitation was ‘Jail bharo’, where was the need to burn the Congress effigy filling it with crackers? Once it is decided to stage demonstrations, Hindus must be explained its format; else, people would have wrong notions about agitations organized Hindus and they might lose faith of people. If you do not fight for Hindus from Jammu, why will other Hindus fight for their issues involving their religious matters? Therefore, participate in Amarnath agitations in large numbers and make it successful!
