Desecration of deities and great national heroes through fire crackers!

Kalyan (Maharashtra): A delegation of Hindu Janajgruti Samiti (HJS) called on Shri. Ramesh Jadhav, Mayor of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and Shri. Ramdas Shinde, police inspector in their respective offices in connection with prevention of desecration of deities and great national leaders through bursting of fire crackers with pictures of deities and great national heroes.

Shri. Jadhav handed over the representation to Shri. Ganesh Borade of Market Department and assured that shops and establishments and wholesalers would be informed and KDMC would correspond with its concerned departments as also with police department.  Shri. Durgesh Parulekar of Hindu Mahasbha, Shri. Ajay Sambhus and Mrs. Savita Borude of HJS and Mrs. Kiran Waghulade and Shri. Sudhanshu Joshi of Sanatan Sanstha and Sanatan Prabhat respectively comprised the delegation. For the past 5 years, HJS has been sumitting such representations to the State Government, District Collectors and police. As a result of such representation and subsequent follow up, Industries Directorate had issued letters to Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Associate Director of ‘Trade mark Division’ for further action. A copy of the said letter was also enclosed to the representation. The delegation also appealed to Shri. Jadhav to visit the website of HJS and register his protest against controversial film ‘the Love Guru’ as it made mockery of ‘Guru-Disciple’ tradition revered by Hindus. Later, representation was also given to Shri. Ramdas Shinde, senior police inspector of Ramnagar police station, Dombivali. Wholesale sellers of fire crackers and owner of ‘Ganesh Stores’ present on the occasion said that he had already stopped sale of such crackers since last few days. He said that he would give letter to even retail sellers visiting his shop for not selling crackers with pictures of deities.
