Special arrangements for VVIPs by Shri Tuljabhavani Mandir Management !

In the name of ‘prasad’, silver / gold items given as gifts worth millions of rupees !

Hindus should realize the adverse effects of temples managed by Govt. !

Hindus need to pressurize BJP Govt. for handing over of temples to devotees because there is total disorder in their management !

Tuljapur (Maharashtra) : It has been brought forth that things made of gold/ silver, expensive clothes are being gifted to VVIPs and their relatives in the name of ‘prasad’ by Shri Tuljabhavani Mandir, known as ‘Kulaswamini’ of Maharashtra. (Hindus must think that how could the temple management give costly things offered by devotees at the temple with devotion and faith, to VVIPs and their relatives ? The right on Mandir’s Wealth is of Devotees and not of Mandir Devasthan Samiti. Such offerings should be used for Dharmakarya; but showering costly items as gifts in the name of ‘prasad’ is a kind of corruption. Devi’s devotees should, with unity, take ‘Devasthan Vyavasthapan Samiti’ to task. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The above matter was brought forth by Shri. Kishore Gangane of ‘Pujari Mandal’ after obtaining information under RTI.

Many costly things like gold/ silver idols, silver sword, silver chariot, expensive clothes, Banaras turbans, expensive saris etc. have been showered as ‘prasad’ and distributed to VVIPs right from Sonia Gandhi, late Vilasrao Deshmukh and many former Ministers from Congress, other cabinet ministers, their secretaries, tehsildras, elected representatives and administrative officers, their relatives and even their secretaries and drivers etc. There is, however, no note anywhere on who should be considered as VVIP and Mandir Samiti has felicitated and looked after such VVIPs for several years.

Trustee Madhukar Chavan gets himself felicitated every year !

Local MLA Madhukar Chavan and a Trustee of temple samiti, every year gets himself felicitated. The material required for felicitation comes from a shop owned by relative of Chavan. Shri. Gangane said that there was no resolution ever passed by the Mandir Samiti for any felicitations.

I have not accepted any felicitation ! – Madhukar Chavan

Madhukar Chavan, a Trustee said, “It was old tradition of Sansthan to felicitate guests. It is true that the material required for such felicitations is purchased from my brother’s shop; but its decision is taken by trustees. Material is also purchased from other shops. I have never accepted felicitation.

Valuable things gifted to VVIPs !

Former Chief Minister late Vilasrao Deshmukh was given silver idol on 5 occasions whereas former Governor Shivraj Patil Chakurkar was felicitated 4 times, former CM Pruthviraj Chavan, Ashok Chavan, Sushilkumar Shinde, Narayan Rane, former minister Balasaheb Thorat, Harshvardhan Patil, Amit Deshmukh, Basavraj Patil, Dr. Padmasingh Patil, Rajesh Tope, Rajiv Satav, Radhakrushna Vikhe Patil, Anil Tatakare, Chief Secretary Swadhin Kshatriya etc. were given valuable gifts twice. There is a noting of Vijaysingh Mohite-Patil being gifted a gold idol; besides these, names of few District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Tehsildars also appear in the list for receiving gifts.

District Collector Dr. Narnavare disowns responsibility ! – Claims ignorance on expenses incurred on felicitations !

Dr. Narnavare, the President of Mandir Sansthan and District Collector said that felicitation of Chief Ministers, other ministers and dignitaries from various fields was as per appropriate practice. He had no idea about earlier expenses; but new rules and regulations will be followed now. (Such statement by District Collector as President of Mandir Sansthan shows that he disowns his responsibility. There has been splurging of money offered by devotees on gifting and it is a kind of scam; so, is he not going to take any responsibility as President of Mandir Sansthan ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Presently, stringent regulations are being set for financial dealings. (Does it mean that earlier there were no stringent regulations ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Complaint will be lodged with CM Fadanvis and Charity Commissioner ! – Shri. Kishore Gangane

A representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ contacted Shri. Gangane on this issue. He said, “Every silver idol gifted was weighing 250 gms and list of VVIPs who received such gifts is 200 pages long. Information on why it was decided to gift items made of silver and gold or which was the resolution passed in this regard has not yet been received from Mandir Samiti. I am going to demand with CM Fadanvis and Charity Commissioner that expenses to the tune of billions of rupees should be recovered which were incurred for giving gifts to VVIPs, out of donations given by devotees for Goddess, Sri Jagadamba.
