Patriots should express gratitude to God for achieving such success in drive for prevention of abuse of national flags !
Thane : Activities undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to serve the nation are commendable. Owing to efforts made by HJS, incidents of abuse of national flags have come down by 70%. I will talk to the District Collector for setting up of a committee to stop abuse of national flags. Police Department is under him and I will give necessary instructions to them, was the promise made by Thane Superintendent of Police to delegation of HJS.
After celebration of Independence Day on 15th August, flags are found thrown everywhere on the roads which is desecration of flags. HJS has been undertaking a drive to stop such abuse of national flags and for maintaining their honour. A representation was submitted to Thane Superintendent of Police in this context when he expressed his views as stated above. Shri. Mukund Ghanekar, Sou. Savita Lele, Shri. Sumit Verma, Shri. Atul Dev of HJS and Shri. Vishnu Shuka of Bajarang Dal were present on the occasion. As a part of the drive, representations were also submitted to Thane District Collector, Tehsildars and police officers, Government officers at Thane, Kalyan, Ambernath and Bhiwandi.

Thane District Collector Dr. Ashwini Joshi and Tehsildar Shri. Vikas Patil, Thane’s Tehsildar Shri. Pandharinath Shriran Bhoir, Joint Police Commissioner Shri. Lakshmi Narayan etc. were submitted representation on behalf of HJS.
Kalyan
Representation was submitted to Kalyan’s Tehsildar Shri. Kiran Suravase. He commended HJS activities. He promised to take action against sellers of plastic national flags. Shri. Vijay Thakare of HJS, Dr. Upendra Dahake, Vice-President of BJP for Kalyan city, Shri. Amol Palekar and Shri. Goraksha Naik of Sanatan etc. were present. Representation was also submitted to Shri. Amit Sanap, Tehsildar of Ambernath.
Bhiwandi
Representations were submitted to V. S. Lambhate, Tehsildar of Bhiwandi and Dy. Commissioner Sudhir Dabhade of Bhiwandi Circle -2. Shri. Dabhade said that meetings would be held to create awareness on the subject. Shri. Vijaysingh Pawar, senior Inspector of Bhiwandi taluka police station said that handbills would be distributed to create awareness on the subject to shopkeepers in his area along with issuing notice. Shri. Gajanan Mandade, officer Education Board said that notice would be issued to 132 schools under his jurisdiction on the subject and he would extend support for HJS to conduct enlightening programs in schools.
