Jamkhed (Maharashtra):
A delegation of HJS called on Deputy Tehsildar of Jamkhed, Dist Nagar, Shri. Santosh Kamble and police inspector Shri. Gawde  yesterday  and handed over a memorandum stating that the fire crackers with pictures of deities and great national heroes are hurting the religious sentiment of Hindus and hence their production and sale should be banned. Shri. Kamble assured the delegates that he would forward their feelings to the government.

It has been stated in the memorandum that crackers are openly sold during Diwali and on other occasions like Dassera that have pictures of deities and great national leaders. Pictures of deities or national leaders blow into pieces when such crackers are burst and the pieces are spread on the ground only for people to trample on them. This causes desecration of the deities and respected leaders. HJS has been fighting for this cause for the past 5 years and has been repeatedly demanding to the Govt to put a ban on sale of such crackers with pictures of deities and leaders.

The memorandum was submitted in the presence of Shri. Madhukar Ralebhat, Jillha Parishad Member; Shri. Suresh Kulthe , Sanghchalak of RSS;  Sandeep Ralebhat, Prsident ,Shivpratishthan; Revnath Deshmukh of Swadhyaya Pariwar, Hare Krushna’s Shri. Veer; Vilas Khandale of HJS; Sanatan Sanstha’s Kisan Raut, Hindu Dharmabhimani Shri. Satish Hoshing and other volunteers.
