Trimbakeshwar : On the auspicious occasion of ‘Shravani Pournima’, the first ‘Raj Yogi / Shahi’ Snan’ by ‘akharas’ was taken at Kushawart Kunda in Trimbakeshwar. Later, other devotees had holy bath in this Kunda; but there is no facility for devotees to keep their footwear while going for holy bath; however, the policemen on duty in the area are using the famous ‘Ganga-Godavari’ temple for keeping their shoes which has enraged the devotees going to this temple for ‘darshan’.

Police Department has slowly started using this place near the ‘Kunda’ as a resting-place; followed with going to temple without removing their shoes; sitting in temple with shoes on and later, for sitting comfortably, they started removing shoes at the sanctum sanctorum of this temple probably for safety. Thus, the police are causing harm to sanctity of this temple, as a result of which the devotees are expressing their anger. Devotees also felt that the Police Administration should have made some proper arrangements for police. The city administration expressed their helplessness over the issue.

An exhibition on ‘Dharmacharan’ was held by Sanatan Sanstha in Paliwal ‘anna-chhatra’ in ‘Sadhu-gram’ during Nasik Kumbh-Parva; a ‘sadhu’ is sitting and writing down matter written on the boards.
