Stop load-shedding and power-cut during Ganeshotsav !

Nandurbar : ‘Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mahamandal’ set up with the initiative taken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to the State Energy Minister Chadrashekhar Bavankule on 4th September demanding to stop power-cuts and load-shedding during Ganesh festival so as to prevent eve-teasing etc. which can lead to law and order problems. The Minister had come to Nandurbar District Collector’s office for a review meeting. Dr. Narendra Patil met him and gave the representation on behalf of ‘Mahamandal’. It has been stated in the representation that devotees come for this festival even from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh etc. It has been every year’s experience that taking advantage of darkness due to load-shedding and power-cuts, incidents of eve-teasing etc. take place during the festival. Darkness encourages evil-doers. Recently, such incident had taken place and curfew had been imposed in Taloda, in Nandurbar District.

Members and office bearers of various Ganesh Mandals viz. Shri. Dada Ganapati, Shri. Baba Ganapati, Shaktisagar Yuvak Mandal, Kunabi Patil Yuvak Mandal, Kshatriya Rana-Rajput Samaj Ganapati Mandal, Satchidanand Vyayamshala, New Sagar Ganesh Mandal, Kaka Ganapati Mandal, Sant Kabirdas Vyayamshala, Trishul Ganesh Mandal, Shivalal and Sons Palakhicha Ganesh Mandal, Maharashtra Vyayamshala etc. were present on the occasion.
