Occasion of ‘Pithori and Shravan Amavasya’

Today is the second ‘Shahi-snan’ of ‘Parvani’ !

Nasik, 12th September – On 12th September, it was a rare occasion of ‘Pithori Amavasya’ and ‘Shravani Amavasya’ being on the same day and devotees coming from all over India, had holy bath at Kushawart for acquiring merit. On 13th September, it is the second ‘Raj Yogi / Shahi Snan’ of the ‘Parvani’; but the planetary position on this day, was also going to be there for some time on 12th September, therefore, devotees had crowded various ‘Kundas’ in Nasik on 12th September as well; because it was a rare occasion of the Moon, the Sun and Jupiter to be in Simha (leo) sign (Rashi) at the same time. Devotees could have bath the way they wanted as police patrolling was not as strict as it was at the time of first holy bath’ here. From the night of 11th September only, devotees started crowding in at Nasik.
