A notice has been issued by Shri Diwakar Raote, a leader of Shiv Sena and a senior MLA in State Legislative Assembly against Shri Chandrakant Handore, State Minister for Social Justice, Shri Harshavardhan Patil, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Law Minister and Shri A. M. Shindekar, Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs Department for passing the Anti Blind Faith Bill under the pretext of social reforms and social welfare. The Bill actually deprives the citizens of the freedom and basic rights conferred by the Constitution to follow any religion. Shri Raote has issued a notice through a letter to Shri Anant Kalase, the Secretary, the State Legislative Assembly and has given a copy of the letter to Shri Babasaheb Kupekar, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Shri Shivajirao Deshmukh, chairman of the Legislative Council (LC). It has been stated in the notice that there has been total disregard towards various provisions of the Indian Constitution and past verdicts given by the Supreme Court while passing the said Bill. Shri Raote has demanded legal action against all the concerned for offending the Indian Constitution, Supreme Court and the Legislative Assembly (LA). He has also warned that if such unconstitutional Bill is taken on the agenda of LC, legal case will be filed against the concerned. He has further stated that the Bill should be again presented in the LA for discussion and all amendments be incorporated.
