Jalgaon : Protest rally against distortion of history by NCERT

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): A protest rally was taken out here on behalf of HJS at 11 a.m. against the distortion of history in the text books published by NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training).A memorandum was then submitted to the district collector.

HJS has always raised its voice against the controversial curriculum prescribed by NCERT. Now also the Council has hurt the feelings of all Hindus by allotting a paltry portion of the text for Shivaji Maharaj while most of the pages are devoted to the glorification of Mughals in the history text book prescribed for 7th standard. The rally was taken out for demanding rectification in the said distortion of history.

The rally began from Shiv Teertha and reached district collector’s office via Bus stand. Shri. Rajan Bunage of HJS then read out the distorted portion in the said text book to Deputy Collector present on behalf of district collector and handed over the memorandum. Shri. Mohan Tiwari, Shiv Sena Vibhag Pramukh and Shri. Ramdas Swami Sonar, Trustee, Central Office, Veer Sawarkar Madhyavarti Rashtriya Prabodhan Sanstha, Bhagur, Nashik were also present on this occasion.
