Bicholim (Goa): ‘Numerous devoted Hindus have been striving tirelessly to make today’s Dharmajagruti Sabha a success. The current imbalance is responsible for this. Such Dharmajagruti Sabhas have to be organised time and again to maintain this balance. The very fact that this awareness has to be created is a sign of the turbulent times that the future has in store’, asserted H.H. Bramheshanand Swami Maharaj today while addressing the public Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan.
At this time, dignitaries such as Prof. Subhash Velingkar, Goa Sanghachalak of the RSS, Goa branch; Shri. Sangam Borkar, Dharmashakti Sena; Shri. Madan Sawant, Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Jayesh Thali, HJS were present on the dais.
The Sabha was commenced with chanting of Vedic mantras and lighting of the auspicious lamp (deep). Thereafter, Shri. Sangam Borkar of the Dharmashakti Sena, while addressing the audience, said that Hindus will not rest until they uproot the roots of Jihadi terrorism from Hindustan. Shri. Madan Sawant of the Sanatan Sanstha said that the first aim of life, in essence, is the ‘practise of Dharma (Righteousness)’. Prof. Subhash Velingkar of the RSS cited several examples of the ATS being involved in anti-Hindu activities. Shri. Jayesh Thali of the HJS said that Hindus have lost their pride for the Nation because of lack of pride for their religion.
HJS’ western India spokesperson Shri. Ramesh Shinde, staunch pro-Hindu periodical ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’s’ representative Shri. Abhijit Nadkarni and a devout Hindu, Shri. Vishal Desai, who staged an intense agitation against the idol desecration episode at Cuncoleim were felicitated by H.H. Bramheshanand Swamiji.
Resolutions such as “We won’t sell our votes, we won’t vote for fake pro-Hindu candidates, we will celebrate the New Year on the auspicious day of Gudhi Padwa and not 1st January” were made during the Sabha. Likewise, a total of 17 resolutions such as enforcement of anti-conversion law in the state of Goa, imposition of a ban on the sale and use of T-shirts and other clothes having pictures of Hindu deities and Hindu holy symbol ‘OM’ etc. for protecting national and religious interests were unanimously passed amidst slogans of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
The Sabha was compeered by Shri. Girijay Prabhudessai and Kum. Shubhangi Gaude. 4, 200 devout Hindus were present for the Sabha. The Sabha was concluded by singing of the Vande Mataram.
