Effect of HJS guidance
Dhule : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti undertook a drive explaining people the importance of immersion of idols in flowing water and it was 100 % successful.
MP Dr. Subhash Bhamre informed after Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to him that he would instruct Municipal Corporation, against erection of artificial water tanks. HJS also submitted representations to Shri. Namdeorao Bhosale, Municipal Commissioner and Mayor Sou. Jayashri tai Ahirrao, Dhule District Collector, Shri. Annasaheb Misal and Dy. District Collector Tukaram Hulawale also informed that artificial water tanks would not be erected. HJS had explained this subject during ‘Peace Committee’ meeting and VCD on the subject was also shown to MPs, MLAs Commissioners, Collector etc. 2000 handbills were distributed and posters were displayed on 100 auto-rickshaws. VCD was shown even on local cable channel. The press conference held in this regard also received good response; thus everyone realised that donation of idols was against ‘Dharmashaastra’ and the drive could be successful.
None of ANiS worker were seen at the venue of idol immersion. With the HJS drive and blessings of God, Panjara River had lot of water.
Last year Municipal Corporation had given badges to workers/ volunteers as ‘Idol donation drive team’; but this year, the badge was for ‘Shri. Ganesh immersion squad.’
