Bengaluru: A delegation of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) had met the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri. Yediyurappa to request him not to give permission to release the film ‘Slumdog Millionare’ hurting the feelings of Hindus, in the State of Karnataka. Lord Sriram in whom millions of Hindus have faith, has been ridiculed in that film. So also Hindus are shown to have offensive attitude and Bharat is shown as a poor country having dishonest people. 

The delegation of the activists of HJS, Shri. Chandra Mogar, Shri. Jayant , Shri. Madhuchandra and  Shri. Suryaprakash had gone to meet Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri.Yediyurappa. They explained to him that the mockery shown in the film was hurting the feelings of the Hindus. Immediately Shri. Yediyurappa instructed his secretary to study the CD brought by the Samiti. He also assured the members of the delegation, saying, “Whatever I could do in this regard I shall definitely do it”.
