Anti-Hinduism by the Police of Karnataka
Bengaluru: Due to the stand taken by the Hindutvawadis regarding the ‘Valentine Day’ chasing and arresting Bengluru police arrested Hindu Janjagruti Samiti’s (HJS) activist Shri. Chandra Mogare unnecessarily. (Instead of wasting time in arresting Hindutvawadis like Cogress, BJP should try to use the time for catching gundas and terrorists! – Editor) After questioning him incessantly he was imprisoned by the police. Ultimately the activists of HJS released him with the help of Revenue Collector. Shri. Chandra Mogare received a telephone call at 9.30pm.from the police station. While making inquiries Shri. Mogare was asked, “To which organization you are attached? What is your mission?” Etc. Later while giving explanation about the inquiry he said, “We are seeking information from all organizations.” (Usual slyness of the police! – Editor)
Shri. Mogare was arrested by the police at 11.30am today. Before that they searched Shri. Mogare’s house and examined the bundle of banners of ‘Dharmashikshan’ by opening it. (Anti-Dharma police treating Hindutvawadis as criminals! – Editor)
Since they could not find anything objectionable they asked whether he was an activist of Sriram Sena. Shri. Mogare replied, “I am an activist of HJS and promote Dharmashikshan.” After taking him to the police station again he was questioned incessantly during the inquiry. That time Shri. Mogare said, “We are not engaged in any destructive work; but we are protectors of culture by providing Dharmashikshan following constitutional path which is acceptable in democracy. Hearing this, the police told Police Commissioner that Shri. Mogare was a good person and was not among the people engaged in destructive works. But the Commissioner said, “This same person had come to be yesterday with a representation opposing ‘Valentine Day’. (Is it a crime to hand over a representation in democracy? – Editor) He should be arrested for 2 days for the said opposition. (Anti-democratic Commissioner of Police! Such Anti-democratic persons would be punished severely when patriotic government comes to power! – Editor)
Within a short time after the arrest, Sou. Purnima Prabhu and Kum. Rashmi Poddar came there along with the Revenue Collector. The Collector too asked many questions to Shri. Mogare; but realizing that he was innocent, asking the police as to why was he kept for so long there, instructed them to release him immediately.
