Jalgaon (Maharashtra): On 17th February devotees of Shivaji Maharaj (Shivbhaktas) had kept the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a shop at night on account of celebrating His Birth Anniversary on 19th of February.
On 18th morning Deputy Police Inspector here Shri. Medhe took it in hid possession without asking anybody. Hence furious Shivbhaktas led a morcha straight to the Police Station. (Congratulations to the Shivbhaktas for questioning the police promptly and constitutionally! – Editor)
Shivbhaktas have protested against the police in their complaint mentioning that without asking anybody, registering Arbitration Bond, the statue was carried in a hand-cart. (Police not abiding their own rules while taking action! Would they have shown such courage regarding Muslim Faith. – Editor) Shivbhaktas have also demanded the suspension of defaulting Police Officer. A representation to this effect is given to the Guardian Minister too.
