Solapur ZP renders apology defaming ‘Lord Vitthal’

Pandharpur (Maharashtra): Zilha Parishada (ZP) of Solapur had used picture of Lord Vitthal on the circular issued by it in its campaign related to eradication of diarrhea. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had registered its protest with the concerned authority against the same. Now the ZP has rendered apology through a letter sent to HJS. (If Hindus become so vigilant in every matter, Hindu Dharma will soon come out of its present dire state – Editor).

In the letter by ZP, it has been mentioned that on advice of HJS, the circular issued by them has been cancelled and its circulation has also been stopped. Shri. Yashpal Wadkar had submitted a letter on behalf of HJS complaining about hurting religious sentiments. Taking cognizance of the complaint, the chief executive officer of ZP has written a letter to HJS that it was not the intention of ZP to hurt religious sentiments of anyone or to denigrate Lord Vitthal. He has rendered apology for issue of the said circular inadvertently.
