Karad : Staunch Hindus stop screening of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’

Karad (Maharashtra): Watchful Hindus stopped the screening of anti-Hindu film “Slumdog Millionaire’ at local Prabhat Theatre for the second time. Earlier, vigilant Hindus had called up the owner of Nataraj Theatre and registered their protest against the controversial film. The shows of the film were, therefore, cancelled. Even after this incident, screening of the film was started at Prabhat Theatre. (Once the film’s screening was stopped; shows started in another theatre. Hindus involved in such things are the real foes of Hindus. Had the film been involved in hurting religious sentiments of Muslims, would the theatre-owners act in similar manner? Hindus too have no alternative but to become aggressive wherever there is distortion of things revered by them – Editor)

Devout Hindus once again registered their protest with the management of Prabhat Theatre. Initially, the management did pay much heed to the protest but on persistent follow up of the matter by Hindus, they had to give in and stop shows.
