Shiv Sena to stage people’s movement if Govt. even touched any temple ! – warns MLA Rajesh Kshirsagar

Congratulations to Shiv Sena MLA Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar and all Shiv Sainiks taking out march to Municipal Corporation for protection of temples !

  • Shiv Sena takes out march to protest against notices issued to temples and for protection of temples !
  • ‘Ghanta-naad Andolan (Drive-ringing Bells)’ and Ganapati ‘aarti’

Kolhapur : Municipal Corporation has issued notice based on the directions of Supreme Court regarding taking action on unauthorized religious structures. Issuing such notices every now and then in fact, can lead to law and order problem. Such throttling of Hindus by local Administration in case of temples will not be tolerated and Shiv Sena will not keep quiet if Hindus’ religious sentiments are hurt due to anything done to Hindus’ temples. Government should take care; else Shiv Sena will stage peoples’ movement for protection of temples, warned Shiv Sena MLA Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar to Municipal Commissioner, Shivashankar.

On 26th November, Shiv Sena took out  march to Municipal Corporation’s office at 12.00 noon for protesting against action taken against temples; followed with ‘Ghanta-naad Andolan’ in front of Ganesh Temple at Vitthal Ramaji Chowk in the premises of Municipal Corporation. Shiv Sainiks and office bearers viz. Shri. Shivaji Jadhav, city-Chief,  Durgesh Lingraj, its municipal councilor Abhijit Chavan, Rahul Chavan, former District-Chief Prof. Vijay Kulkarni, Niyaz Khan, municipal councilor Pratidnya Nille etc. were present. The march was taken out from Shiv Sena’s office at Shaniwar Peth to Municipal Corporation office. Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar said while discussing the issue with Shri. Shivashankar that,

  1. There are so many unauthorized constructions in the city but those are overlooked and only Hindus’ seats of worship are targeted. This won’t be tolerated. All the temples to whom Municipal Corporation has issued notices, will be provided protection by Shiv Sainiks.
  2. Such promptness in taking action on Supreme Court’s decision is shown only against Hindus’ temples; but various orders passed by the same Court previously in connection with places of worship of followers of other religions have been totally disregarded by municipal corporation as well as by police.
  3. The Administration should take decision in this matter considering its repercussions on communal harmony and its effect on law and order situation.
  4. There are famous temples in the list and Hindus have very strong sentiments towards them. It should be seen that their sentiments are not hurt.

Highlights

  1. There were boards displayed by Shiv Sainiks demanding demolition of other unauthorized places before coming to temples ; warning that such throttling of Hindus will not be tolerated and condemning Municipal Corporation for targeting only Hindus’ places of worship.
  2. Shiv Sainiks raised slogans condemning Govt. administration.
