Himani Sawarkar conferred with ‘Hindu kul bhushan’ award

Pune: Smt. Himani Sawarkar, the President of an organization called “Abhinav Bharat” was recently conferred upon ‘Hindu kul bhushan’ award by renowned keertankar and Santveer HBP. Bandatatya Karadkar. (Sanatan Congratulates Smt. Himani Sawarkar on receiving the award – Editor). This is the 7th year of the award. In a program held on the grounds of M. S. School, Pt. Dharmaveer Arya, the President of the Trust, Shri. Lakshman Jagatap, MLA and Shri. Ramanlal Lunkad were also present. Adv. Devidas Shinde read out the testimonial letter.

HBP. Bandatatya Karadkar said that the country would prosper only if the young generation develops self-confidence. Our mind and thoughts should be equally strong along with a strong body. There is need to follow the footsteps of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and act rather than praying for his re-birth. Smt. Sawarkar said in her reply to the felicitation that it was in fact, the felicitation of the moral values inculcated by family and society in her. She also appealed to everybody for speaking in Marathi. Pundit Arya said that when we stop following western culture, Maharashtra would truly progress. All Marathi people should come together and follow the path shown by Chhatrapati Shivaraya. Shri. Jagatap, MLA said that righteousness can be nurtured only through religious approach.
