Nagothane (Maharashtra): We are the descendents of Arjun and Vikramaditya. We should always be prepared to teach a lesson to those who are against out Dharma and Nation. Today, we need someone like ‘Jijamata’ who moulded valiant Shivaji and the queen of Jhansi who fought against Mughals on the battle field. The above views were expressed by Jainmuni H.H. Viragsagarji Maharaj at Jain Aradhana Bhavan, Nagothane in his guidance on the topic of ‘Protection of Nation and Dharma’ organized on the occasion of ‘Holi’ festival.
The program was attended by a large number of business community, women and youngsters. Maharaj also spoke about the present condition of society and indifference towards following the path of Dharma and preservation of moral values. He gave examples to show influence of western culture, their running after worldly matters and drifting away from our great culture.
While making people aware about attack on our languages and culture by western countries to destroy our identity and our falling prey to their machinations, he said that women can participate in the activities related to protection of nation and Dharma.
He said that although Jain community was proponent of non-violence, they were ready to perform their duties towards protection of Dharma. Bhagawan Mahavir too proved his name as ‘Vardhaman’ by observing his duties under ‘Kshatra-Dharma’.
Dainik Sanatan Prabhat must reach every house – yearning of H. H. Viragsagarji Maharaj
Shri. Nana Vartak and Shrikant Deshpande, seekers of Sanatan Sanstha from Nagothane called on H. H. Viragsagarji Maharaj at Jain Aradhana Bhavan and presented him with a book published by the Sanstha on ‘Kshatra-Dharma Sadhana’, a picture with chariot of Sree Krushna and Arjuna and few copies of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’. They apprised Maharaj of the activities undertaken by Sanatan Sanstha.
Maharaj was very much impressed with the information. He said that he would visit Sanatan’s ashram at Panvel during his tour to Panvel in April. He said the paper-cuttings can be used in ‘prasar’ activities and guided Jain youth organization. He said that DSP should reach every house and everyone should introspect on how to achieve this goal. He asked them to make a list of subscribers and advised them to become annual subscriber of DSP.
