Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held at Pilaye, Dharbandoda

It is the need of the hour for Hindus to become staunch devout Hindus and to unite ! – Mahesh Parkar, Konkani writer

DEEPPRAJVALAN at Dharbandora Sabha

Ponda : Presently the Hindu population is decreasing day by day. If this situation persists then after 25 years Hindus might be in minorities. Here only Hindus are taught secularism. Hindus do not have education on Dharma hence they do not have respect for their Dharma. Hence it is the need of the hour that Hindus must unite as devout Hindus. Every Hindu should have the capacity to lead, appealed Mr. Mahesh Parkar, a devout Hindu and a Konkani writer from Shiroda, Ponda. He appealed to the audience present in the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in Late Sadhashiv Marathe Mandir auditorium, in Pilaye at Dharbandoda on 27th December.  Mr. Govind Chodankar HJS coordinator of North Goa and Mrs. Rajashri Gadekar of Sanatan Sanstha were on the Dais.

The sabha commenced with blowing of conch shell and was followed by lighting the auspicious lamp at the hands of Mr. Mahesh Parkar. Mr. Pankaj Barve recited Ved mantras. Mrs. Shruti Hajare informed the audience about the mission carried by HJS. At this time Mr. Ramakant Kurtikar, of Sri Saibaba Devasthan, Dhavshire, engaged in a very commendable mission of spreading Dharma through the temple was felicitated at the hands of dignitaries.  Mr. Govind Chodankar in his speech on ‘Need for Hindu Rashtra and efforts to carry out this mission’ said, if this nation were to be a Hindu nation then there would not have been question of Government’s taking over temples. The issue of building Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Kashi Vishweshwar Temple would not have been pending. Mrs. Rajashri Gadekar addressed the audience on topic  ‘Terrorism of progressives and devout Hindus’ oppression’. Actors like Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan keeps quite when fanatics are spreading jihad  in the country, but they shout about  intolerance in other cases. Compering  of the sabha was done by Ms. Shambhavi Vaze and Mrs. Sadhana Joshi. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Shailesh Behare. Looking to the spontaneous response to the sabha, a review meeting is kept on 30th December at 7.30 p.m. at Sri Saibaba Devasthan, Dhavshire, Usgao in order to get the direction with regard to protecting the Nation and Dharma.
