Christians to support Congress

Nagpur (Maharashtra): Christian community has declared support to Congress party. Announcement made in the press conference organized by, ‘National Council of Churches in India’. (As Congress has pampered Muslims it has also done the same to Christians too. So it is not a wonder that Christian community to support Congress! – Editor)

Christians community was hurt as no party showed any cognizance to it in the parliamentary elections. Christian leaders had informed about this grievance to the president of minority section from Congress, Imran Kidwai at time of his visit to Nagpur.  Thereafter getting some consolation from him the Christians declared their support to Congress. The first Prime Minister, Shri Jawaharlal had given candidature to N.K.P. Salve and Dr. P.C. Alexandar; but now this community is not getting any recognition said MLA Victor Fertas.
