“When BJP is in opposition Ram is worshipped earnestly; but when it comes to power Ram is sent in forest. Vajpaye government was in power for 6 years; but Ram temple was not constructed. They did not even start the construction”, criticized Shri. Sharad Pawar when he was addressing a meeting in Ratnagiri as a part of election propaganda on behalf of Shri. Nilesh Rane, a congress candidate there. “BJP wants to spread hatred in the society under the name of Ram”, alleged Shri. Pawar. What Shri. Pawar has said is not to be ruled out keeping aside the point of hatred. Only question is whether Shri. Pawar has a right to criticize BJP. If Shri. Pawar proves that he had keen interest in ‘Ram’ then he has moral right to criticize others.
When BJP attains power then Ram may be going to forest; but one should remember the difference between Congress and BJP that Congress attains power only to send Ram in exile. Though BJP cannot serve ‘Ram’ as much as it could, due to its indecisive attitude; but it never refuses to accept the existence of ‘Ram’.
After the demolition of Babri Masjid a Sultan from Middle East was viewing its telecast on television. He saw some ascetics dancing with joy around the demolished structure of the Masjid, celebrating the victory. Sultan called a Bharatiya diplomat in the country and asked him to explain the pictures shown on television. He asked, “Who were the ascetics, why and who demolished the Masjid?” Diplomat answered, “The ascetics were respected representatives of Hindus”. Sultan asked, “Who were Hindus?” He said, “Hindus lived in Bharat since ancient times and it was the oldest community and it comprised of 85% of majority. Ram was their Deity whose temple was demolished by Muslims out of hatred for Hindus and they built a Masjid in its place. After waiting for 450 years Hindus demolished it”.
Hearing this Sultan replied, “Nehru introduced Bharat to the whole world; but never mentioned that it was Hindus’ land and they were in majority. If this is so then there is no possibility that Nehru, his Ministers, Congress party, the embassies in various countries would ever mention that this was Ram’s and Krushna’s country.” Nehru’s grand daughter in law told in Supreme Court, “Ram is an imaginary character.” What comment Shri. Pawar has for it? It is not heard that Shri. Pawar had told Dawood Ibrahim that, it was not fair to have 12 bomb blasts due to hatred for demolishing 1 Masjid. It is necessary to explain the importance of ‘Ram’ to Congress.
