Chaitra Krushna Chaturdashi

Sony TV was going to air Episode of ‘Comedy Circus 20-20’ on its channel. It had content defaming Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu & its information was given on india-forums website. Hetal Dave, a staunch Hindu & disciple of Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu wrote protest letter to Sony TV asking them to cancel them telecast of this website & then Sony TV replied them back by accepting not to telecast this episode defaming Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu.

E-mail written by Sony TV to disciples of saint Asaram Bapuji

Dear Navneet,

This is with reference to the Comedy Circus 20-20 episode which was scheduled to go on air on Saturday, April 25th on Sony Entertainment Television.

This is to reassure all his disciples & followers that the act in the said episode had no reference to Saint Sree Asaramji Bapu and any
connect you see is just incidental. As a responsible channel, Sony Entertainment Television has always respected the sensibilities and the sentiments of its discerning viewers and hence we would never want to hurt them in any way. As an immediate step, we have pulled out the promos/material & also killed the episode (it won’t be telecast).

Comedy Circus is an entertainment programme that is meant to bring happiness, joy & laughter & we assure you that in no way was the act an attempt to attack Shri Asaram Bapuji.

We would like to apologize, if we have unknowingly hurt the sentiments of the people, and reassure them that no such item/episode will ever be released or shown by the channel.

On behalf of Sony Entertainment Television

ATTENTION: Director and Producer of show “Comedy Circus 20- 20”on SONY TV

I refer to the article written by Ms Rachana Trivedi below.( http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/article.asp?id=4508#comments) and the 20-20 episode that is to be telecasted on 25 April 09.

India is a land of saints, its country where even a snake is treated as God. Has this country of saints forgotten to venerate the saints? Can we live without them? Wouldn’t we be drowned in the materialistic world? Do we know how to get out of the snares we have ourselves woven around us? A very simple answer is NO. It calls for a Guru like Sant Shri Asamraji Bapu to pull us out. A Guru who has realized God, who has total control over his senses, who is a repository of knowledge, is only capable of leading us on the Path to God. Slaves of there own whims, running madly after the vagaries of their mind can not help. And what are we doing; instead of venerating him, we are casting aspersions, assaulting his divine work. Bapuji has help lacs of people and is tirelessly going around the country to help people.

Comedy is meant to entertain people and not hurt religious sentiments. It pains me to see some comedian mock Bapuji. Is it that we will never recognize these saints during their life time? From times immemorial we have seen that whenever a saint comes to uplift the society also come the negative elements. May be you can say that the God only incarnates himself in the form of these saints to ward off those negative elements and works for the betterment of the downtrodden, the wretched people, people who have forgotten their own glory, who have forgotten that they are the masters and have been enslaved by Maya, people trampled under the burden of miseries. No matter how hard these enlightened souls work for our betterment, notwithstanding the innumerable pains they have to bear, we ordinary mortals keep criticizing them. Very to sorry to say, Media is playing a great role in this.

Bapuji is rendering great seva to the nation and what are we giving him back. Well, we are no one to give him anything, but at least we can respect him, be a part of his divine work. Request all the people around, STOP CASTING ASPERSION on him, if you have got no respect for him, at least do not sling mud.

I hope you take note of the above and stop the telecast of this part of the show.

Hariom.

“The duo brought the house down with their humorous act in Comedy Circus 20 20…"

The new series on Sony, Comedy Circus 20 20 can see some new faces trying to make everyone laugh. Audience is sure to be in raptures as we have the spiritual speaker Neer Asaram Bapu helping troubled souls.

"Neer Asaram Bapu (Kuldeep) is helping troubled souls with his item numbers with his item girl Chameli (Roshni Chopra) giving him company," informs our khabroo from the sets.

Elaborating on the act our source quips, "Kuldeep isn’t the run-of-the-mill sadhu baba who is out to solve problems of people with his wisdom, but the modern one who sings item songs, with the item girl Chameli dancing to his tunes."

"So Kuldeep sings & Roshni dances and together they help heal the layman of his sorrows, not to forget the implied double meaning," adds the informer.

The judges were very happy to see the act and also went on to say that it was one of the best in the episode. "Ajay Jadeja said that they simply rocked, while Shekhar Suman said that it was a classic act, and he has never seen anything like this before. Both the judges gave them a standing ovation."

So catch up with fun and masti on Comedy Circus 20 20 on April 25, 2009 at 9.30 pm only on Sony.
