Pictures of Deities to prevent spitting removed in Hospital

Amalner (Maharashtra): It came to the notice of members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) that ‘Aditya Child Care’ Hospital run by Dr. Nitin Patil, had tiles with pictures of Lord Vitthal and Sree Swami Samartha fitted in the stair case to prevent people from spitting. The members met Dr. Patil and explained to him how fitting of tiles with deity’s pictures cause denigration of those deities. On hearing the same, Dr. Patil informed the members that he was not even aware of such thing although he was a Hindu.

He explained that the tiles were fitted by the owner of the place and he would ask the owner to remove the tiles immediately. He also assured that the pictures would not be there on the next day. He was impressed by various activities undertaken by HJS as explained to him by the members and bought a Holy text titled ‘Dharma-shikshan Phalak [Hoarding of teachings of Dharma]’ of HJS. Nearly 60 members of HJS, including Shri. Dinkar Bari, Bunty Chaudhary, Anil Pawar, Bhaiya Shete, Bhatu Khanjolkar, Pankaj Jadhav, Rajendra Chaudhary, Pankaj Kasar, Sunil Kasar, Pankaj Bagul were present on the occasion. Some youth members who had gone to Hanuman temple that is on the way, for ‘darshan’,joined HJS members as they came to know the purpose of HJS members visit to the hospital. Some workers from other offices also joined HJS members by taking leave from their work for half an hour. Shri. Sunil Kasar, a devout Hindu, although very busy with work related to his brother’s wedding, accompanied the HJS members.
