Shirpur (Maharashtra): Tiles with pictures of deities were fitted in the stair-case of ‘Dhanwantari’ Hospital in ‘Shreerama Complex’ to prevent people from spitting there. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) created awareness among the doctors towards denigration of deities taking place in this manner (Congratulations to HJS members for getting the tiles with deities pictures removed and stopping their denigration!)

As HJS members noticed the tiles in the hospital run by Dr. Avinash Patil, Shri. Pankaj Bagul, one of the members called on Dr. Patil and explained to him about how fitting of tiles with pictures of deities cause denigration of deities and advised him to remove such tiles. Dr. Patil agreed with him and promised him to remove the tiles within 2 days. In the discussions that followed with HJS, Dr. Patil, learnt about HJS activities and removed the tiles.

Shri. Hemraj Rajput, Harish Kadam, Yogesh Kasar, Anil Mali, Chandrakant Patil, Vijay Bari, Narendra Mali, Dinesh Jadhav, Muralidhar Kasar and Shankar Patil of HJS participated in the drive.
