New Delhi : A National Hindu Movement was held recently at Jantar – Mantar where demands like Central Government to allot an independent centrally administered Panoon Kashmir in Kashmir to rehabilitate permanently the displaced Kashmiri Hindus and inquiry of the atrocities on Kashmiri Hindus by a Judicial tribunal, were made. Various devout Hindu organisations participated in it. In the year 1990, thousands of Hindus in Kashmir valley were massacred by jihadi terrorists, thousands of women were raped, their houses and properties were grabbed and more than 4.5 millions of Hindus were driven away from Kashmir. These Hindus have not yet been rehabilitated and are deprived of justice. This incident will complete 25 years on 19th January 2016; but this state of affairs still persists. Therefore the agitators have demanded an independent centrally administered part in Kashmir called Panoon Kashmir to rehabilitate these Hindus.

Present state of Kashmiri Hindus

  1. Displaced Hindus are residing in various parts in the country in a very pitiable condition. None of the Governments has paid any attention to them up till now. They are unable to get even food for two times in a day at some places.

  2. Due to financial difficulties these youth could not get business training or any other kind of education. Therefore this young generation has to work hard as labour.

  3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made provision of 500 crores of rupees in the Budget declared in the month of July for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus; but nothing is being heard about any action taken in that regard so far.

  4. Due to other family problems the rate of population of Kashmir has decreased.
