Nagpur (Maharashtra): ‘Bhaskar Yadnya’ that involves worshipping of Sun God was performed by a few doctors for happiness, peace and a balanced, moderate temperature. Eleven renowned doctors participated in this ‘yadnya’. It was performed at Dr. Hedgewar blood bank, Lakshmi Bhavan Chowk under the guidance and supervision of Vedmurti Sudhanshu Arvikar Guruji. Dr. Dilip Gupta, the President of the blood bank praised organization of such ‘yadnya’.
The convener of the ‘yadnya’ and Vice President of the blood bank, Dr. Avinash Sanghvai said, “Yadnya and religious ceremonies are performed for success of every important activity. Significance of performing Yadnyas has been known from the period of Ramayana. In this summer season, all records of highest temperature have been broken in April. At such times, it will be beneficial to worship Sun God. The participation of doctors is for the reason that they should be more prompt in offering service to patients.”
