Fury over mockery of Vitthal, Warkaris and their things worthy of reverence!

Pune (Maharashtra): ‘Fashion Show 2009’ titled ‘Wari’ was organisd by ‘School of Fashion and Technology’ at hotel Orchid in Karvenagar, Pune. (Would the said institution dare to organize a programme based on Islam’s faith? – Editor) This programme ridiculed Vitthal, Warkaris and their things of reverence very badly. Out of fear of the warning given by Warkari Sect, responsible authorities of the said institution had written a letter begging their pardon; but furious activists of ‘Patit Pavan’ organisation expressed their discontent and protest by attacking the office of the institution and breaking its furniture. (Dhamadrohis hurt the feelings of the Hindus who have faith in their Dharma and when they oppose, seek pardon and again are ready to repeat their actions against Dharma. Religious feelings of Hindus are always hurt. Congress government and its police do not do anything to safeguard Hindus’ religious feelings. Hence if Hindus react violently the responsibility lies with Congress government and the police! – Editor)

5-6 activists of ‘Patit Pavan’ organization entered the premises of ‘School of Fashion and Technology’ around 3.30 pm. and destroyed the wooden and other things there. They even hit windowpanes with stones shouting slogans of protest. Police arrived around 4 pm. and had discussion with the Principal.

This is not only the mockery of Warkari Sect’ but it is the mockery of Maharashtra and its culture. – H.B.P. Bandatatya Karadkar, Founder of ‘Vyasanmukti Yuvak Mahasangh’.

Letter of ‘School of Fashion and Technology’ (SOFT) seeking pardon

‘Wari of Pandhri’ is famous all over the world and it awakens devotion, love and festivity. It is also an unusual and thrilling experience for everyone due to tremendous will power of the Warkaris. One visualizes women clad in nine yard pink sarees and green bangles and men clad in dhoti. Our students also had kept this pious picture while designing the said clothes. (What kind of respect paid when they clad in short clothes and make vulgar gestures? Are the authorities not ashamed while giving such excuses? – Editor) We beg unconditional pardon of the Warkari Sect if their feelings were hurt thereby. (Why do not they apologise saying that they have definitely hurt their feelings. Hence it appears that the institution is not ready to accept its mistake. This letter seeking pardon is just a farce and worth opposing it! – Editor) We have sent this letter to all media. We hope that you would take cognizance of this.

Yours faithful,
All teachers and students of ‘SOFT’

Fashion Institute in Pune makes mockery of Lord Vitthal!

May 14, 2009

Mockery of  ‘Vitthal, Warkaris and their objects worthy of reverence in the ‘Fashion Show’ organized by ‘School of Fashion Technology’ at Karvenagar (District Pune): Warkaris ready for agitation

Pune (Maharashtra): Vitthal, Warkaris and their objects worthy of reverence were ridiculed greatly in ‘Fashion Show-2009’ organized by ‘School of Fashion Technology’ at Karvenagar here. (Real enemies of Hindu Dharma are such Hindus only! – Editor)

Warkaris are furious over the said action and H.B.P. Arun Maharaj Gurghate has warned to start agitation if no action is taken against the culprits associated with the said mockery.

Participants in the show had taken chiplya (a wooden musical instrument) in their hands, malas (rosaries)  around their wrists and had worn cloth strips on which ‘Panduranga Vitthala’ was written. The young girl participants were making vulgar gestures with chiplya. (Vitthal, Warkaris and their objects worthy of reverence awaken the bhav of the devotees. Hence the participants, organizer, teachers and parents who make use of those things to promote business and for entertainment purposes instead of objecting to such mockery are anti-Dharmis. Would anyone dare to do the same with respect to any other religion? – Editor). Netra Raghuraman, Priyanka Shah, Alishiya Raut and some other ‘Fashion Designers’ had participated in the said programme. The costumes were designed by the students of the said college.

Mockery of Saints under the name of ‘Fashion Show’ will not be tolerated! – H.B.P. Rameshwar Maharaj Shastri

‘Young Boys and girls have made mockery of Saints while walking on the ramp in the attire of Saints. Warkari Sect protest against the same. Such mockery of Saints through Cultural Art would never be tolerated. Mark the warning by the Warkaris. Remember their successful agitation against Anand Yadav and Kalpande. Hence nobody has the right to intervene in Dharma. If the students of the college wish to hold ‘Fashion Show’ then they should do so on Laden, Aurangzeb.

Protest Letter written by a devout Hindu to Fashion Technology Institute

Dear Organizers,

This is very sad to read that “School of Fashion Technology”, Pune has insulted Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) in “Fashion Show 2009”. You have showed half nude girls with the name of Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) on their cloths. This act is the insult of all Hindu’s religious feeling.

Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) is highly respected Hindu God. Almost all Hindus pray Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) with the greatest respect. All the “Varkaries” (People from Varkari Sect) walk to Pandharpur every year with the same respect. We have strong objection on this fashion show. The first thing, with the name of fashion wearing less or shorter cloths is very wrong. It the insult of all ladies on the Earth and the second thing you are insulting our respected Gods. This is not at all acceptable. Unfortunately the designers are also ladies.
If you really dare then try to organize a fashion show with the theme of Muslim or Christian religion. You will not do this, because you know you will be no more alive for performance on the ramp.

The divine characteristics of Lord Pandurang (Vitthal) are the strong guidelines for our daily life.

As per the advice of my advocate “hurting the religious feeling of anybody” is crime as per Indian Pinal Code 295 (A). We as a team are seeking legal advice on this matter.

The fashion designers and participants must express their apology in public with the promise that they will not design such dresses again in their life.

Hope you learn from this anger and improve yourself.
