Worldwide Observance of Hindu Memorial Day on August 14th

Hindus all over the world will observe a minute of silence precisely at 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time (2:30 PM GMT) on August 14th, 2006, observed as the Hindu Memorial Day every year. The Memorial Day activities will be conducted to remember all those who gave up their lives in the defense of Hindu Dharma, and the victims of terrorism, especially the ones who died recently in Mumbai.

As part of Hindu Memorial Day observance, Hindus of Houston, TX will hold a shradhanjali sabha (memorial assembly) and pooja, as homage to the martyrs who died fighting for Dharma, and the victims of terrorism unleashed against the Hindus in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
