- HJS to set up 'Ranaragini', an Organization for women (2 Jun 09)
Solapur (Maharashtra): Today, Hindu women are forgetting their Dharma in the name of modernity and they are becoming feeble. Teasing and molestation of Hindu women has become common these days. Fanatic ‘jihadi’ youth, in the name of ‘Love Jihad’, are deceiving young women and cases of sale of innocent Hindu girls in Arab countries are coming to light. In such a situation, it has become necessary to make Hindu young women aware of brilliant accomplishments of significant women leader of the past like Rajmata Jijau, Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and Rani Chennamma of Kittur etc. Inauguration of the first branch of ‘Ranaragini’, an organization for women set up by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to serve the above purpose was held, today, in Solapur.

The radiance of Hindu ‘Ranaraginis’ has not become extinct – Shri. Ramesh Shinde, Maharashtra spokesperson of HJS
Non-Indian historians are spreading wrong account of oppression of Hindu women in this country. There are two important conceptions of ‘Sati’ and ‘Pativrata’ [virtuous devoted faithful wife] in Hindu Dharma. Hindu women could not live with self-respect during Mughal regime. Rajamata Jijau realized their condition and developed Shivaji Maharaj. Rani Padmini of Chittod committed ‘johar’ along with 8000 Rajaput women to maintain her chastity and avoid even going before Alluddin Khilji. Have today’s Hindu women forgotten such dignified history? About 300 Hindu girls have become Muslims in Jalgaon, Nagar, Latur, Sambhajinagar, Marathwada, Vidarbha etc. Hindu women around the globe are practicing important professions like scientists, medicine, engineering, management etc. It is not that the radiance of ‘Ranaragini’ has vanished in Hindus. HJS has opened this branch to awaken that radiance.
‘Ranaraginis’ required to fight against fanaticism and lust – Rajashri Tiwari, district coordinator of ‘Ranaragini’
Presently Hindu young women are falling prey to the ‘fatwa’ issued by fanatics to convert Hindu girls and get Rs.200/-. Blindly following western culture, education system devised by Macaulay to create clerks have made us British in our views, thought process and language; the only cause for the same being lack of knowledge about Dharma. The branch of ‘Ranaragini’ has been set up to train Hindu young women in matters related to Dharma, in self-defence and to teach a lesson to the fanatics and lustful people.
Is it right to give up one’s Dharma for momentary pleasure? – Adv. Aparna Ramteerthakar
Hindu houses are collapsing like a pack of cards. For such situation, only mothers are responsible. The mother has to protect Dharma. If a mother follows the path as prescribed by Dharma, this situation will never arise. Is it right for girls to give up ‘Dharma’ for momentary pleasure? Hindu girls are not allowed to apply ‘kumkum’, wear bangles in convent schools or they are punished if they do so. The first drive of ‘Ranaragini’ will be against this!
Fatwa of converting Hindu girls, indicator of Pakistan’s entry in every house – Himani Savarkar
The history of a nation is not only written in ink but with the bloodshed of revolutionaries. We are able to live as Hindus only because of the bravery shown by our valiant women leaders. Rani Lakshmibai held sword in her hand for protection of her State and her Dharma. The society that forgets its past has no future. The respect for Nation and Dharma as filled to the brim in Savarkar family should be developed by every Hindu. Hindu women have suffered a lot but henceforth, they will not suffer and the branch of ‘Ranaragini’ has been set up for this purpose. Fatwas like ‘Convert Hindu girl and get Rs.200/-’ is an indication of Pakistan breaking into every house. What is wrong if we say that every house should give birth to a ‘Shivaji’? Why Afzal is not executed? How many Congressmen follow the principles of ‘Truth and non-violence’ advocated by Gandhiji? Congress has routed ‘Gandhism’ by bringing a foreign woman. When an enquiry was conducted against me, I firmly told them that thousands of Hindus of this country is my wealth.
- Smt. Himani Savarkar started her guidance by paying obeisance to H. H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj, the inspiration behind establishment of Sanatan Sanstha and H. H. Dr. Jayant Athavale
- Nearly 1100 women attended the program.

The press conference held at 'Shramik Patrakar Sangh' was attended by famous social worker and 'pravachankar' Mrs. Aparna Ramteerthkar, Mrs. Rajashree Tiwari, district organiser of 'Ranaragini' branch, Dr. Avinash Kashid, district coordinator of HJS for Marathwada and Solapur among others. Shri. Shinde said, "Smt. Himani Savarkar, the president of all-India Hindu Mahasabha would attend the program and will guide the participants in her intense and fiery manner."
He added further, Mrs. Aparna Ramteerthakar and Mrs. Rajashree Tiwari will be present for the press conference. Shri. Ramesh Shinde would give guidance on the occasion. The supreme Hindu Dharma has given us heroic women like Rajmata Jijau, Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar so also sages like Gargi and Maitreyi. Many women revolutionaries took part in the freedom fight; but today's women seem to have forgotten their Dharma and have become feeble in the name of modernism. There have been many instances of women getting cheated for conversion. To make people understand the seriousness of these incidents, to train women to protect themselves from lustful vultures existing in society and to free them of fear, an independent branch is being opened by HJS as 'Ranaragini', informed Shri. Shinde.
Hindu girls fall prey to inducements and convert to other religions – Mrs. Ramteerthkar
Mrs. Ramteerthkar said that girls have to observe some restrictions to protect their womanhood. The program has been organised with an aim to facilitate them to learn about their Dharma and culture.
'Ranaragini' set up at Panvel
Panvel (Maharashtra): On the occasion of martyr day of Rani Lakshmibai on Saturday, 30th May, a meeting of women was organized at Gokhale Hall. In this meeting, an organization named 'Ranaragini' affiliated to HJS was set up to help women in getting justice against oppression. The meeting was attended by about 50 women including advocate Amruta Naik and Mrs. Chhaya Balasaheb Patil. Smt. Jayashree Bhalerao said while explaining the objective of setting up this organization that there are constant attacks on Hindu Dharma.
A news item was published in 'Daily Sanatan Prabhat ' of 27th December 2008 about a 'fatwa' to convert Hindu girls and collect Rs.200/- for the same. The government is, however, not doing anything to prevent oppression of Hindu women. Therefore, this organization has been set up to facilitate Hindu women to fight against injustice, to develop 'Kshatra Tej' in them and unite Hindu women.
