‘Role-Model Award 2009’ presented to Sanatan’s seeker

Panvel (Maharashtra): Sanatan’s seeker, Shri. Chandrahas Changdev Gavand from Vasheni in Uran taluka, was presented ‘21st Century Role-Model Award 2009’ on behalf of ‘Samaj Vikas Academy’ in Colombo, Srilanka at the hands of Vice-President of Akademy, Shri. Tilak on 28th May 2009.

Shri. Chandrahas Gavand had been serving as a Primary teacher for 39 years in Raigad Jilha Parishad. Since May 2005 he had been busy presenting Kirtan and Pravachan. He had given his performances at 294 places including Primary Schools, Middle Schools, D.Ed. Colleges. His lectures are promoting Marathi, Algebra, Moral Values and Spritual practice (Sadhana) free of cost. He wished to distribute his knowledge to pay off debt towards society. Gavandguruji is also the recipient of ‘Ideal Teacher’ award given by the Town, District, Jilha, Rajya and Rashtra. He was also presented ‘Dronacharya Award’ Rashtriy Ekatmata Fellowship, Rashtra Chetana Gauravjivan, Panvel Bhushan, Sadbhavna Award 2009. He has shown krutadnyata towards H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale for His blessings behind getting so many awards.
