Protest against anti-Hindu ‘Anti-Superstitions’ Bill

Mumbai:
‘Maharashtra Eradication of dreadful and undesirable customs, Bill 2005’ has not only support of both the Congress parties but also 100 % support of BJP as also of Shiv Sena although a bit less than BJP. The bill has been modified as per the suggestions made by Shiv Sena leaders. All the misconceptions about the Bill have already been cleared. BJP leaders talk favourably about the Bill in private; but oppose the same in public as it has become a political issue,’ the above misleading statements were made by Prof. Shyam Manav, President of ANS at national level in a conversation held with him during the news telecast on Sahyadri channel at 9.30 p.m. (The Bill has been strongly opposed in both the Houses by BJP as well as Shiv Sena MLAs. Shri. Diwakar Raote, a MLA of Shiv Sena, has in fact, sternly opposed the Bill in Legislative Council and did not let it pass as it is against Hindu Dharma. Therefore, it has been sent to Joint Review Committee. Even then, Prof. Shyam Nanav is telling lies about Shiv Sena and BJP’s support to the Bill. In case, such Act is passed, cunning Manav would put all saints behind bar. Hindus must, therefore, oppose such anti-Hindu Act! – Editor SP)

Prof. Manav also said that misconceptions are deliberately spread about this Bill. BJP-Shiv Sena coalition has extended full support to bring improvement in the Bill. Some of the Shiv Sena leaders have read every word of this Bill; but certain pro-Hindu Organizations are against this Bill and bringing pressure on these political parties. Such statements have been made by Prof. Manav to create an opinion among people that the opposition of BJP-Shiv Sena to this Bill no longer exists.

Those opposing the bill are involved in bomb blast – blabbers Manav

Pro. Manav said, “The Hindu Organizations opposing this Bill feel that such Bill would leave them nowhere and it is true as this Bill will close down the business of all fake ‘babas’ and therefore, they are spreading wrong information about the Bill. It has been found that the Hindu Organizations opposing the Bill were involved in bomb blast case. (Anti-Hindu Manav is maligning Hindu Organizations. He should give proofs of participation of Hindu Organizations opposing the Bill in bomb blast cases. It is a ploy of Manav to get the Bill passed by hook or crook even by defaming Hindu Organizations! – Editor SP) Now, there true picture is before the people.”

There are clauses causing harm to Hindu Dharma and therefore, opposition to the Bill – BJP

We oppose the Bill as there are clauses in the Bill causing harm to Hindu Dharma. If the Government excises objectionable clauses and has intention of passing the Act only for betterment of people, we shall support it. We are not against the basic Act; but are against the format, said Shri. Eknath Khadase, group leader of BJP in LA

Shiv Sena opposes the anti-Superstitions Act!  – Shiv Sena

We learnt about the interview of Shyam Manav on Sahyadri channel, but I do not know with whom and what he has spoken. I know only about the opposition of our party to this Bill and there is no change in our stand, said Dr. Neelam Gorhe, spokesperson of Shiv Sena.
