Jyeshtha Krushna Saptami
Ratnagiri: Shri. Prabhakar Panashikar, a senior stage artiste said in a program held in the remembrance of Marathi litterateur P.L. Deshapande that actors’ commercial approach has made them indifferent towards denigration of deities. He said this to the representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat (DSP)’ who had sought his opinion on the latest trend of denigrating of Hindu deities through films and plays.
Shri. Panashikar said, “There is deterioration in every field. Hindus are responsible for such mockery being made of Hindu deities. Muslims or Christians never ridicule Allah or Jesus. But Hindus make fun of their objects of worship. Deities are personified in plays. This is all very sad. In our times, we hesitated to even use mild bad words. Now, we find there is bombarding of abuses. I was also approached to enact in such plays but I had refused. (How many artistes have such gentleness and principles today? – Editor SP)
Conversion of tribals
Christian missionaries are converting tribals on large scale in India. The work being done by RSS towards this is, therefore, necessary. Hindu Organizations must stop these conversion activities carried out by Christian missionaries. The representative of DSP informed Shri. Panashikar about various media used by Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to educate Hindus about matters related to their Dharma and create awareness among them towards their Dharma.
The representative of DSP read out to Shri. Panashikar, some part of criticism on Hindu Dharma by P. L. Deshpande that was published in an issue of DSP when he said that he did not agree with P. L. Deshpande in this matter.
