Inauguration program of ‘Subhash secret’ held without police permission, was foiled by opponents, Writer Mahajan arrested
Amaravati (Maharashtra): Objectionable matter has been written about Swatantryaveer Savarkar in a book titled ‘Subhash Secrete’ by Kranti Mahajan. There are even a few things written about Mohandas Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru which have been found objectionable by their supporters. The program organized for release of the book, therefore, faced opposition by different parties; but the organizers went ahead with the inauguration. The enraged devout Hindus along with the Congress workers foiled the program.
Taking into account the opposition declared by various parties to the above program, police did not grant permission to this program to be held in the local Town Hall. The organizers, however, paid no heed to the police permission and shifted the venue of the program to Hotel Tirumala. But the enraged opponents got the wind of it and they went to the new venue and foiled the program.
In the mean time, Kranti Mahajan, the author of the book left the program. Police reached the venue when the opponents demanded arrest of the author; but police arrested Capt. Kirade, a Azad Hind Senani present on the dais and assured to arrest Kranti Mahajan. Mayura Deshmukh, the publisher of the book was also present. Kranti Mahajan, the writer was later arrested in the night and a case was filed against him.
