Nagar (Maharashtra): In the History text book of 4th standard, the portion related to Dadoji Konddev who was a teacher of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been deleted, therefore, to protest against the Government for this heinous act and for demanding restoration of the portion, members of all pro-Hindu Organizations came together outside the office of the district collector and staged forceful demonstrations. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Upper District Collector, Baburao Kendre on the issue. He assured to forward the demands of pro-Hindu Organizations to the Government.
The demonstrators were holding black flags and banners and raised slogans against the anti-Hindu Government. They also explained the matter to passersby and obtained their signatures on the memorandum. Thereafter, letters were sent to the Secretary, Education Department of the State Government.
Shri. Ghanashyam Deshpande (Babaji) of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said on the occasion, “The appeasement of minorities carried on by the Government was very disgusting and we condemn the same. VHP will go to any length, slog day and night and see to it that Dadoji Konddev who trained and made Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj into a great Ruler, is given due respect.”
Shri. Sanjay Dhanave of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) said that the communal politics is condemnable and the distortion of history has been done keeping in view the forthcoming elections. If the Government does not revise the distorted history, all pro-Hindu Organizations would intensify this agitation.
Shri. Digambar Gentyal, general secretary of OBC Organization, Bhagawan Phulsaundar, former mayor of Shiv Sena, Dattatraya Mudgal of Sree Shiv-pratishthan, Ashok Mulye of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Gautam Karale, district coordinator of Bajarang Dal, and Anil Devrao, its city-chief, Tushar Pawar, Bharat Tambe and Sandip Lage of HJS, Santosh Gawali and Ashok Zambre of Dharma-shakti Sena and Ramesh Kale of Adivasi Pardhi Samaj along with more than 50 devout Hindus participated in the agitations.
