HJS included in Govt committee formed for maintaining honour of national flag

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : Every year, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertakes a drive for prevention of abuse of and maintaining honour of national flags. On 4th January, representation was submitted to District Collector Rubal Agrawal on behalf of HJS on this subject and HJS requested for its inclusion in district-level committee. The District Collector (DC) had said that there was need for such volunteers. On 18th January, it was informed through an order issued by DC that 3 members of HJS have been included in district-level committee and 6 HJS members have been adopted on taluka level committee. A copy of this order was handed over to HJS activists at District Collector’s office. HJS members have been included in committees for Chopda, Erandol, Jamaner, Bhusaval, Pachora and Parola talukas. DC, Superintendent of Police and other 5 administrative officers are in district-level committee and Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar, Shri. Uday Badgujar and Shri. Shreyas Pisolkar of HJS have been included; whereas in every taluka level committee, there is Tehsildar, local Police Inspector; besides, Shri. Yashawant Chaudhary, Shri. Vinod Shinde, Dr. Ravindra Patil, Shri. Hiraman Wagh, Shri. Hemraj Patil and Sou. Rekha Jadhav will represent HJS.  

On 4th January, VCD prepared by HJS for creating awareness amongst citizens on this subject was shown to Resident DC Shri. Rahul Mundake. Shri. Mundake then instructed all Tehsildars to issue orders for including ten minutes for the topic on ‘Honour of national flag’ in programs organized on the occasion of 26th January.

On 18th January, DC Rubal Agrawal gave a copy of order to HJS activists regarding setting up of Govt. committee for maintaining honour of national flags. It was mentioned in the order that ‘newspapers and electronic media should give due publicity to proper use of national flags; give information immediately on measures to be taken for disposal of tattered and spoilt national flags; and ensure that instructions given in Government’s circular were implemented’.
