Ashadh Shuddha Trayodashi
O Hindus! Boycott the anti-Hindu media for trying to create rift in devout Hindu Organisations!
This year the Ashadhi Ekadashi Wari was the talk of the town. The government had to give in due to the faith and devotion of Varkaris; but the anti-Hindu media took the reverse stand in this matter. So called History research scholars and perverse writers have written books and given speeches denigrating God, Deities and Saints in Hindu religion; as a result people are confused. Hence the government should have confiscated the literature. Since the government is not interested in Hindus as it is with respect to other religions. This had to stop somewhere and to agitate against them was Varkaris’ constitutional right.
That is the reason Varkaris had given a warning to the government that if their demands were not taken seriously then they would not go ahead with the wari. Media persons favouring the History research scholars, perverse writers and anti-Hindus published various comments on Varkaris’ stand like, ‘rift among Varkaris’, ‘ordinary varkaris too compelled to accept the stand’, ‘Varkaris backed out from demand’, ‘Palquins turned back from agitating Varkaris’, etc. Media people tried to disgrace Varkaris and spread a false rumors about a split in Varkari sect.
No objectivity!
The media persons should have fulfilled its duty to give correct report for the public as media is the fourth pillar of democracy. They should have explained in their newspapers about the letter given by the Chief Minister; but they failed there as they lack in objectivity. Instead of reporting the truth they publish news twisting and turning the issue. They had asked irrelevant questions to the Chief Minister in the press conference. Very few newspapers have shown their accountability by publishing correct news. So if a common man thought that Hindus also should have check on the media as other religions have, there is no wonder!
Media gave wrong publicity to the Varkari agitation despite having success in agitation. Without consulting the responsible representatives of Varkaris, media published news like, ‘Varkaris turned back’. This might create misconception in public mind that there was no unity among Varkaris. Media people always criticize the Varkaris saying that they were only interested in ‘Bhajans’ (Devotional songs) and visiting holy places. Is there any politics behind this?, is the question asked by the Varkari sect reviewing the news published by the media.
