Delhi : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti undertakes drive every year on the occasion of national festival of Republic Day for maintaining honour and prevention of abuse of national flags. Representations were given to Government in various parts of the country under the said drive. Guidance on the subject was given in schools and the drive received good response from all.
Rourkela (Odisha) administration promises to extend full cooperation to this drive
Rourkela (Odisha) : On 14th January, representation was submitted to Dy. Commander Arjunchandra Manzi of Civil Defence Department by activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Advocate Vibhutibhushan Palai, Secretary of Advocates’ Council, its member advocate Tapan Panda, Sanatan Sanstha’s A. D. Nath and Shriram Kane of HJS were present. Manzi was explained about various activities undertaken by HJS and he promised to extend full cooperation.
Highlights : Dy. Commander Manzi showed interest in imparting training on first-aid, disaster management and fire-fighting through his department with the help of HJS for free.
Haryana : Students resolve to create awareness amongst people
Gurgaon (Haryana) : Representation was submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to 3 schools viz. Vivek Model School, Rao Ram Singh Public School and Rhushi Public School on the subject of prevention of abuse of national flags. Students from Vivek Model School made resolve that every student would create awareness in at least 10 persons about prevention of abuse of national flags.
In Vivek Model School, a lecture was held for awakening patriotism amongst students. A VCD was also shown on the topic. The lecture was attended by 80 students.
Agra : Additional District Collector gives instructions to police
Congratulations to officer taking prompt action on representation !
Agra (Uttar Pradesh) : Representation was submitted to additional District Collector on behalf of HJS for prevention of mistreating of national flags. He took immediate note of the representation and forwarded it to senior Superintendent of Police for further action. He also issued orders for imposing ban on manufacture and use of plastic national flags in the city on the occasion of 26th January.
Lecture and representation in Tamil Nadu
Kolthur (Tamil Nadu) : Sou. Sugandhi Jaykumar of HJS conducted lecture for students and teachers at Veer Savarkar School on maintaining honour of national flags. It was attended by 250 students and 15 teachers. Posters on the subject were also given to the school. HJS activists submitted representation to Chennai School and to the Principal of one more school; besides posters.
In fact, why such drive has to be undertaken year after year ? Government administration is expected to be alert on this issue and take necessary action !
Sangli : District Collector’s office sends letter to all departments on receiving representation from HJS

Sangli (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had submitted a letter to the District Collector demanding action for prevention of abuse of national flags. The District Collector’s office has since issued instructions that all educational institutes and other institutions and organizations under its control should be informed about this subject. Necessary action as per Mumbai High Court’s orders should be taken for prevention of insult of national flags. A detailed report on the same should be sent to District Collector’s office. Such letter has been sent to Municipal Commissioners of Sangli, Miraj and Kupwada, Dy. Executive Officers of Zilha-Parishada, Education Officers, Tehsildars and Chief Officers.
