Details of Defamation of Lord Ganesha:

Bangalore: An article published in Economic Times, Bangalore edition contains defamation of Lord Ganesha. In this article, Many idols of Lord Ganesha are shown as Cricket players (fielders, batsmen & bowler) in Piyush Pandey, Chairman, Ogilvy. This is nothing but the serious defamation of Lord Ganesha & all Hindus must protest against Economic times & Piyush Pandey to withdraw such Idols of Lord Ganesha. They should also apologise all Hindus for making defamation of Lord Ganesha.

Here is the information published in Economic Times about Piyush Pandey & defamation of Ganesha Idols:

THE ADVERTISING fraternity is well versed with twists and turns of the pitch, but for Piyush Pandey, chairman, Ogilvy the word pitch acquires a special meaning. It’s the love for cricket which has got the former Ranji player to incorporate elements from the game in his office complete with a rectangular meeting table resembling the cricket pitch. It’s not rare to see Pandey get a bit of crick- etism in his daily conversation. “Why are you sitting at long-on, why don’t you shift to silly mid-on,” Pandey recollects the line he once told a visiting journalist. And if Cricket is a religion in In- dia, then look no further than Pandey’s room — idols of Lord Ganesha as a fielder, batsmen and bowler on a cricket field.

Appeal to devout Hindus:

1) Compare the defamatory Idols of Lord Ganesha in which Lord Ganesha is depicted as Cricketer & Sattvik picture of Lord Ganesha drawn by Sanatan Sanstha. Which form Ganesha is looking more good? Compare yourself & judge how Cricketer’s idols of Lord Ganesha are defaming him.

2) Lord Ganesha is a deity, who provides us brain & power to live in this world. We Hindus always pray to Lord Ganesha as the start of any Holy ritual or Inauguration of any new thing. So how we Hindus can tolerate such defamation of Lord Ganesha. It is our duty towards Dharma to protest against such defamation of Lord Ganesha.
